"Food Management" leads to a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration specialised for the food business.

The "Duale Hochschule" in Bad Mergentheim is a university of cooperative education: All students are employees of companies seeking for highly qualified professionals. Therefore the Course is suited to companies dealing with food and beverages, as do producers, food crafts, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, caterers and food-outlets.

Studies concentrate on general and special business administration. Core subjects such as organisation, accounting, marketing and personnel management are taught in a way which keeps in mind the practical needs and conditions of food business. Special business administration topics focus on business challenges along the food supply chain (farm-to-fork-process). Furthermore special importance is placed on cultural, medical, educational, legal, ethic and culinary aspects of food.

Lectures are held in an old castle in the centre of Bad Mergentheim for six semesters at twelve weeks within three years. Teaching language is German.
